Bosch Rexroth Profile Technique: Fast, stable and safe!.

Supporting Profiles

Load, functionality and design are decisively important factors when selecting a profile. With more than 90 supporting profiles for all types of load, Bosch Rexroth AG offers the widest variety of products adapted to the following requirements:

psquare and rectangular profiles.
lightweight profiles with optimized cross-sections.
round profiles and smooth sided profiles

Specially stable slots and big center holes allow profile connections for highly static and dynamic loads, by means of high loading capabilities connectors.

Bosch Rexroth AG offers five different types of profiles. Within each profile series, all the slots have the same size and clearances between slots, so that they will always fit perfectly during the assembly process.

The new profile series, with 10mm slots and 40mm & 50mm slot clearances, complete the already known series with 45mm slot clearance separators. Due to their high stability capabilities, profiles with 10mm slots are ideal for assembling from tables to big machine structures.

8mm and 6mm slot profiles are used in the construction of lightweight fixtures, partitions, brackets and showcases.

Thanks to a wide range of products, you will certainly find a solution for each type of application with the best cost-performance ratio

Assembly Techniques

With Bosch Rexroth AG Profile Modular Systems, you will get the most complete assembly techniques available. In this way, you will rest assured that you’ve found the suitable connecting device for each application.

All the profile connectors share the same property: they are bolt-in fixtures. Bolt-in connections are easily and quickly made; they offer good resistance properties for hoisted loads. You may also change, enhance and adapt new basic mechanical items to new structures. The used pieces may be reused.

The selection of the proper connector depends on your needs. You should specially consider the following criteria:

Functionality:
Are you making a rigid or a bending profile connection? Should the profile slots remain clear? For each application, you may find the proper connecting device.

Loading capabilities:
Safety is a priority! Therefore, please find adequate connecting devices, for the highest hoisted loads too.

Design:
If you’re looking for something else than simple functionality, our assembly techniques meet the most demanding aesthetic requirements.

Manual Production System

The three pillars of Rexroth manual production systems

Manual production systems rest on three pillars:

Workstations
Material Supply
Material Flow

High stability combined with high flexibility.

Flexibility conveys efficiency .

Production demands may be subject to sudden variations: whether it’s a change in the number of pieces, or a new product generation, Rexroth manual production systems adapt themselves to each new situation. In this way, your workers’ performance will always be the best and your company will reach maximum productivity.

Based on Rexroth profiles modular systems and manual production systems, we’ve developed our own manual production systems, following ergonomic and logistic criteria. Along the development process, we focused on our expertise and dialogue with the client (more than 200 Bosch facilities worldwide, among others).

As an additional benefit, we offer our well-reputed and wide range of products for your subsequent manual production equipment

Lean Production

Production, your company’s core

During production processes, products are created, revaluation takes place and value is created. Each work process is made up of value-creating activities, as well as of tasks that involve a waste of resources, both evident and hidden.

Therefore, the purpose of any manufacturing programming is to achieve an almost waste-free production, continuously reducing and transforming it into a valuable creation

Individual workstations offer:

Decreased worker’s fatigue
Motivated workers
Target optimization and orientation
Increased productivity

Workstations’ ergonomic design plays a decisive role when reaching a waste-free production. Thus, for instance, your workers’ grabbing movements and displacements will directly depend on each workstation design.

A worker is, therefore, the focus. All working posts adapt to their workers, and not the other way around. Your workers’ dynamic and relaxed performance is based on our standing up/moving and sitting-down/standing up concepts.

These two concepts are supported, among other aspects, by individually designed workstations and, eventually, by customized chairs

Grab bins
Arm rests
Easy tools’ accessibility
Case lifters
Industrial carts

Rexroth manual production systems offer all the necessary modules for an ergonomic design and layout of your workstations, thereby enabling your workers to do all the movements typical of their jobs in a relaxed way, within an improved time frame (e.g. according to MTM regulations — Methods-Time Measurement), and under safe grabbing conditions. Rexroth will support your schedules through specifically designed planning and calculation aid devices, such as ergonomics checklist, FMS soft and MPS calculations.

Transfer Systems

Performance Principles

On an assembly line, pieces are conveyed from one workstation to another with the aid of a transfer system. Workpiece pallets (WT) are friction-conveyed by means of double belts, toothed belts, flat plate chains, sliders or round belts which are constantly moving.

Pieces are sent to the workpiece pallets. All the operations on this piece will be performed on the workpiece pallet. The workpiece pallet’s data memory contains information on destinations and process status. The VE separators located on the workstations (whether manual or automatic workstations) stop the workpiece pallets while the conveyor is still under motion.

At some workstations, several workpieces pallets may get stuck and pile up. Once the process is finished at the relevant workstation, the workpiece pallet is released and conveyed to the following workstation.

The pneumatic separator is opened either manually or automatically through a workstation command. Once the assembly process is finished, the finished piece is retrieved from the workpiece pallet.

Selection Data

Available Workpiece Pallets Sizes (WT):  Workpiece pallets measuring from 80 x 80 mm (TS 1) up to 1243 x 1243 mm (TS 4plus) allow customization to the piece’s geometry. Several pieces may be mounted on the same workpiece pallet, if needed

Admissible workpiece pallet supporting load (FWT): the FWT workpiece pallet supporting load is restricted to the size of each workpiece to avoid exceeding the admissible surface pressure between the workpiece pallet and the conveyor system.

AThe FWT workpiece pallet’s supporting load consists of:

workpiece pallet’s weight
workpiece pallet’s load (piece, housing, etc.)
additional equipment weight (data memory, etc.)

If the workpiece pallets are not square, the smaller side will determine the admissible supporting load of the FWT workpiece pallet.

Chain Conveyor System - VarioFlow

VarioFlow, the new chain conveyor system by Bosch, is clearly convincing: it’s less expensive that standard chain conveyor Systems and has considerably higher performance values.

Its amazingly stable chain enables VarioFlow to reach chain pulling forces of up to 1250 N. The almost enclosed chain area allows conveying even small pieces without any friction. The broad product program enables to solve almost any conveying problem.

VarioFlow is a non-expensive conveyor system for many applications. The two conveyor chains’ dimensions -65 & 90 mm wide- have been designed for the most diversified applications: from machinery construction, including electrical machines, to cosmetics industry.

An outstanding VarioFlow feature is the easy and error-free customization to any task.  VarioFlow even masters critical span guides, where many other conveyor systems have given up. Therefore, on site customization to specific tasks will only require the replacement of a few components, e.g. the chain or sliding rails
